TRAINING PROGRAM

As a trained Narrative Medicine Clinician and Adjunct Professor at Columbia, I take a group of leaders and CEOs through a unique, integrative training program several times a year based on my Pause3™ Method.

This Narrative Medicine and Spirituality Training Program combines research-backed narrative medicine techniques, indigenous healing modalities and spiritual texts to create an embodied healing practice and bring these tools into your own work and life.

OVERVIEW

During this in-depth program, you’ll learn:

01.

The Clinical Narrative Medicine Framework

A research-backed, integrative framework for establishing trust and helping clients heal through story.

02.

The Art of Attentive Listening

How to recognize, absorb, metabolize, interpret and be moved by patient, client and employees’ stories of pain and healing.

03.

Narrative Competence Skills

Exploring how narrative informs strategy, knowledge, skills, behaviors, and outcomes. This methodology gives us the tools to share experiences, communicate differences and similarities in equanimity. We activate the imagination and emotions, integrating the creative process to solve problems.

04.

The Latest Narrative Medicine-led Research

Including the influence of storytelling as a healing modality.

05.

A Narrative Medicine-Based Toolkit

Art, literature and music prompts to elicit deep thinking and authentic storytelling.

06.

How to Facilitate Hard Discussions

Around pain, suffering, death, burnout, health and spirituality and more and have the opportunity to practice in community.

We also cover the energy body, our shadows, universal law principles, how to create sacred spaces and prosperity consciousness.

This training program offers a rare opportunity to learn the clinical narrative medicine framework alongside spiritual healing modalities. Together, we witness one another’s suffering—and healing.

We’re gathering the next cohort and will go live in 2023.
